Trials riding is a very demanding discipline requiring technically advanced machines.
The engine represents the combination of two contrasting needs: it must have power,
progression and controllable power supply, high torque at low revs and spurt at high revs.
The line must be clean and reduced to an absolute minimum to reduce weight; strength must
be absolute.
Today trials bikes are at a very advanced state of evolution; improving a trials bike
means working in all direction to cut down a few grams and millimetres here and there;
then weight must be perfectly distributed and the frame perfected.

Central muffler
New drawing of the internal chamber developed to increase the torque at slow rpm,
and to have an engine more soft and controllable.
Final silencer
New internal tube shape to obtain best performances and to reduce deeply the
exhaust's noises a fiber glass cartridge is fitted for an easy maintenance.
Electrofan
New fan with more powerful engine to grant air increase of the 10% on the
exchange of air and reduced overall dimensions.
Radiator
Different water thermostat position to guarantee a great temperatures stability
and to improve maintenance easyness.
Air filter box
New air filter box to obtain a 30% air volume increasement in comparison to 2001
model . New air intake and filter fixing also.
Rear plier support plate
New type to obtain a great resistence and reduced overall dimensions.
Rear fender
Modified the front part for the best connection with air filter box.
Shock absorber
Adjusted hydraulic calibration for a prompt driving.
Swinging arm
New shape to obtain the best stiffness and lightness.
These changes to the engine are designed to improve power response making the motor's
power characteristics even smoother, more gentle and progressive. Engine is available in
three capacities - 270cc, 250cc and 200cc.

BETA RELEASES A NEW RANGE OF KIDS BIKES
After a two year development period, BETA have finally released a completely new range of
50, 80 and 125cc bikes designed specifically for kids. The 50 and 80cc bikes have totally
new engines designed for trials use. The bikes feature steel frames, a 4 speed gearbox on
the 50 and monoshock rear suspension with hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. These are
REAL trials bikes not just centrifigal clutch toy bikes.
The 125cc is based on the 250
REV-3. Again this is a totally new motor. The bike uses REV-3 cycle parts. The proven
linkless rear suspension combined with conventional front forks and super strong alloy
frame produce a light rugged bike ideal for a Junior who is not ready for the power and
weight of a full size bike.
125cc A totally new motor based
on the REV 3 bottom end. Extremely delicate power delivery for 12 - 15 year olds.
80cc A totally new trials bike
aimed at the Junior rider. Six speed gearbox, watercooled, disc brakes, steel frame,
linkless rear suspension, around 55 Kg's in weight, 19 inch front wheel and 17 inch rear.
